Gandhi once said, “where there is love, there is life.” And, life and love is everything that comes to mind when I think of two of my most memorable brides, Sonia and Kandyce. Their love and genuine devotion for each other is so unwavering that it permeated from every element of their October matrimonial ceremony at Wesley Knox United Church. These beautiful souls were destined to be united.
When the ladies first consulted Lavish Events by Design about helping them design their dream wedding, I was awe struck by their requests. Black tablecloths, white chairs, crystals, chandeliers, accented silvers, and a budget that would make HGTV blush. It’s no surprise that Kandyce and Sonia’s wedding found it’s way into the Wedding Ring’s March edition publication.
The reception was held at the Four Points by Sheraton because it was a place where the ladies had frequented over the course of their courtship and the location holds special meaning for them. The ball room tastefully juxtaposes modern flare with classic elegance, with the black-tie dress code lending nicely to the entire affair. The ladies were the right mix of flawlessness and magnificence in their David’s Bridal attire with LDN Makeup Artistry making sure that locks were curled, lips were glossed and that that waterproof mascara was on stand-by, just in case a few happy tears made an appearance.
Keeping in line with Sonia and Kandyce’s design preferences and mutual love of Disney, we coordinated centerpieces in purples, blues and silvers (with all florals being provide by close family friend, Lee Chi Fe) with our own alternating candelabras and crystal goblets and draped true white fabric and light catching crystals behind two throne like chairs to create a sitting place fit for a princess, or in this case, two.
As always, a special mention to our co-vendors.
